The FBI franchise is officially contracting on CBS. Today, the broadcast network decided to cancel FBI: International after four seasons and FBI: Most Wanted after six seasons. It's unclear if the production company will try to shop either dramas to other outlets.
The cancellations leave FBI as the only series in the franchise returning to the broadcast network for its upcoming 2025-26 schedule. The mothership is in the middle of a three-season renewal. It is currently airing its seventh season and has been renewed through its ninth. Meanwhile, the network is an active development on a new spinoff - titled FBI: CIA - centering on a joint intelligence task force, which is casting its lead roles.
FBI: International stars Jesse Lee Soffer, Carter Redwood, Vinessa Vidotto, Eva-Jane Willis and Christina Wolfe.
Dick Wolf, Derek Haas, Matt Olmstead, Michael Katleman, Arthur W. Forney and Peter Jankowski executive produce. Universal Television, CBS Studios and Wolf Entertainment produce.
FBI: Most Wanted stars Dylan McDermott, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Roxy Sternberg, Edwin Hodge and Shantel VanSanten.
Dick Wolf, René Balcer, Arthur W. Forney, Peter Jankowski and Dylan McDermott executive produce. Universal Television, CBS Studios and Wolf Entertainment produce.
The cancellation comes ahead of the drama's 100th episode on Tuesday, March 11.
