AppleTV+ Cancels 'Mythic Quest' After Four Seasons

AppleTV+ has today decided to cancel its original comedy series Mythic Quest after four seasons. The comedy wrapped its 40-episode run on March 26, 2025.

The fourth season finale was not conceived of as a series finale. However, an updated episode will be released next week to provide more closure to the overall series.

The comedy starred Rob McElhenney, Ashly Burch, Jessie Ennis, Imani Hakim, David Hornsby, Charlotte Nicdao, Danny Pudi and Naomi Ekperigin.

McElhenney co-created the comedy with Charlie Day and Megan Ganz. All three executive produce with Hornsby, Michael Rotenberg, Nicholas Frenkel, Margaret Boykin, Austin Dill and Gérard Guillemot. Lionsgate Television, RCG Productions, 3 Arts Entertainment and Ubisoft Film & Television produced.

"Endings are hard," shared McElhenney, Hornsby and Ganz. "But after four incredible seasons, Mythic Quest is coming to a close. We're so proud of the show and the world we got to build - and deeply grateful to every cast and crew member who poured their heart into it. To all our fans, thank you for playing with us. To our partners at Apple, thank you for believing in the vision from the very beginning. Because endings are hard, with Apple's blessing we made one final update to our last episode - so we could say goodbye, instead of just game over."
