AppleTV+ Announces Premiere Date for New Drama 'Smoke' Starring Taron Egerton

AppleTV+ has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original drama series Smoke starring Taron Egerton.







The 9-episode first season will debut on Friday, June 27 with its first two episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Friday until the season finale on August 8.

Inspired by true events, the drama follows a troubled detective and an enigmatic arson investigator (Egerton) as they pursue the trails of two serial arsonists.

In addition to Egerton, the drama stars Jurnee Smollett, Rafe Spall, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Hannah Emily Anderson, Anna Chlumsky, Adina Porter, Greg Kinnear and John Leguizamo.

Dennis Lehane developed the drama inspired by the "Firebug" podcast. He executive produces with Egerton, Richard Plepler, Bradley Thomas, Dan Friedkin, Kari Skogland, Joe Chappelle, Jane Bartelme, Kary Antholis and Marc Smerling. Apple Studios, EDEN Productions, Imperative Entertainment, Crime Story Media and Truth Podcasting Corp. produce.
